Ladies Bowls Penrith Womens Bowling Club was formed in 1970 with the help of founding members Jo Dillon and C Reynolds. From humble beginnings, the club has grown to a friendly blossoming club with over 100 members. The Club has a rich tradition of success on the green, with pennant victories in grades 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Founding member Jo Dillon won the champion of champions singles title in 1984. Recently the Club were runners up in the 2006 Wolinsky shield. The Womens Club bowls weekly at 10am Tuesday mornings. The ladies club also runs the club's social mixed pairs weekly on a Thursday morning at 9:30am. The Penrith Womens Bowling Club continue to support the community by having a charity day that supports local charities in need. The Club also puts on a big morning tea with proceeds going to cancer research. These are just some of the ways the Club contributes to charities in the local area. The Club has annual Major championships, along with Minor championships. It is a very friendly club welcoming bowlers of all ages and experiences to continue the Club's proud tradition.
